Susy Caracas
With over 15 years of experience in newborn care and parenting, she is a seasoned professional in the field. As a Postpartum Doula (DONA and CAPPA), Certified Advanced Newborn Care Specialist (NCSA), NCS CACHE Certified, Lactation Educator (CAPPA), Certified Newborn and Infant Care Professional (USNA), and recently Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PSI), she is dedicated to providing top-notch care for infants and their families.
Driven by her passion for her work and personal growth, she co-founded Cuidando Angeles NCS, where she is committed to enhancing professional development opportunities for the Hispanic Nannies and NCS community through innovative training programs.
She is also the creator of the Hispanic Nannies Facebook group with more than 5,000 members nationwide. Her mission is to empower, mentor, and share resources and valuable information with colleagues so that they may continue enhancing their education, developing their personal and professional careers, and overall being part of an environment of mutual respect and friendship.
Lisa Dozier
Lisa Dozier brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role as a professional nanny. With years of dedicated service, Lisa has honed her unique "Whole Family Approach" philosophy, which underscores the importance of the family unit as the foundation of community. In her practice, Lisa goes beyond traditional childcare duties by integrating household responsibilities into her work with children. By doing so, she not only nurtures the development of the young charges under her care but also instills values of good citizenship and independence from an early age. Lisa's commitment to the well-being and growth of the nanny community is evident in her active involvement in promoting ongoing education and support for in-home childcare providers. As a founding member of SoCal Nanny Con, Lisa is thrilled to be part of an initiative that brings together like-minded professionals to share knowledge, resources, and experiences. Her dedication to her craft and her passion for empowering both children and caregivers make her a valuable asset to the SoCal Nanny Con community, and she looks forward to contributing to its success for years to come.
Kelly Rodas
Kelly D Rodas, a former Nanny with 17 years of experience in the childcare industry, holds various titles including Postpartum Doula (CAPPA), Certified Advanced Newborn Care Specialist (NCSA), NCS CACHE, Sleep Coach, and Certified Newborn and Infant Care Professional (USNA).
She is deeply committed to supporting her local community, as evidenced by her involvement as an administrator of the Nannies Hispanas Facebook group, which boasts over 5,000 members. Additionally, she is a co-founder of Cuidando Angeles NCS, where she provides professional development opportunities to her Hispanic Nannies community. Kelly has always been involved in supporting the community locally, as it is her personal mission to serve her community.
In 2021, she joined the Hispanic Nannies committee of the US Nanny Association. Among several other tasks, her main volunteer duties included producing material for social media networks in her native language, Spanish.

Buffi Gentry's illustrious career in the nanny field spans over three decades, beginning in the late 1980s. With a deep-rooted passion for ongoing education and a fervent commitment to fostering an inclusive environment, Buffi has been at the forefront of advocating for equality and high standards within the industry. Her tireless efforts have made her a driving force in Southern California's nanny community, where she works to create opportunities for learning and networking connections, contributing to the professional growth of her peers.
As a seasoned collaborator on various training days and now entering her second year as co-host of the SoCal Nanny Convention, Buffi's influence continues to expand. Her genuine enthusiasm for the event is evident, as she eagerly anticipates the chance to reconnect with familiar faces and forge new relationships within the community. Buffi's enduring dedication to advancing childcare and championing diversity and inclusion sets her apart as an exemplary leader in the industry, inspiring others to follow in her footsteps.
Kathleen Tennant
Kathleen Tennant is a professional nanny with a Bachelors in Special Education. Kathleen values ongoing education. She is excited to be working on SoCal Nanny Con this Year.
